BREWER TAKES HIGHEST AWARD AT 2002 CENTRAL FLORIDA PARADE OF HOMES

Sanford, Fla. - Dave Brewer, with more than 500 custom homes built in more than 45 luxury communities in central Florida since the 1970s, recently won the highest award given in the 2002 Central Florida Parade of Homes. Parade Judges chose the Normandy by Dave Brewer - a massive 5,000 square foot luxury home on a half acre golf course home site in gated Alaqua Lakes in Longwood - as this year's Grand Award winner for best custom home. The one story estate home, built around a tropically landscaped pool, offers four bedrooms, four baths and two half baths, a playroom, a study, an adult game room and family room priced at $1,079,900. Dave Brewer has won major home building and design awards for the past 25 years. Brewer, founder and chief executive officer of the company, said he was pleased by the Grand Award this year. "There were many excellent homes in the Parade. In the Normandy we put a lot more emphasis on layout and the use of space in the home by a typical family than on the sorts of architectural embellishments that usually get the attention of critics," Brewer said.
