REMODELING DIVISION AT DAVE BREWER INC. POSTS BEST YEAR EVER IN 2010, EYES MORE WORK IN 2011

SANFORD, Fla. - Dave Brewer, Inc., which ranks as one of the region’s most active builders of luxury homes priced at more than $1 million, reported its luxury home remodeling division, Dave Brewer Constructors posted its best year ever in 2010.

Matt Trask, vice president at Dave Brewer, Inc., said the division was launched four years ago to meet the demand from luxury home owners who decided to expand or remodel their homes instead of selling as the housing market declined.

Trask said the remodeling division posted revenues of more than $2 million in 2010.

This year should be even better, Trask said. The remodeling and renovation division already has more than a dozen projects underway or planned.

“Most luxury home owners would rather expand or remodel their homes than sell them in this recession,” Trask said. “That strategy offers a soluble advantage. They get to enjoy the home to its fullest now and the value of their home will be greater when the time comes to sell,” he said.
